From Naomi: A piece of music was chosen (but it could be any piece, have lyric or none, as you like), the piece supplied here was from Sam Smith: Life Support.
Before we heard the music, we had to choose and decide on a character and then put them into the musical scene and then see what happened. Naomi said it was her idea that this could be a way to get writing again when you got stuck with a character and didn't know what was going to happen next. Or it could be a way to start writing about something that you've been thinking about and weren't sure how to start.
Either way, it produced an array of responses from an old pub, to an ice hockey match, an officer of the First Fleet and the observations of a baby. Thanks Naomi!
